About the Position
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) role is for someone who desires a career with a reputable company that offers stability, long-term employment, and opportunities for advancement. The CSR will be the first point of contact for our customers. This position will require interaction with our walk-in customers regarding payment for their fuel/parts purchases. This person will also support the office staff by answering phones, invoicing parts purchased from walk-in customers, entering payments into the back-office system, and completing relationship calls.
Key Deliverables
The key deliverable is to offer our customers friendly and knowledgeable service. To achieve this, these sub-deliverables must be met:
- Learn about our walk-in customer base.
a. Train on accepting payment and enter into cash register.
b. Reconcile cash register at the end of the day. - Train on invoicing our customers.
a. Learn about our available products for purchase and look up system.
b. Train on the part sales module in software system. - Learn about our delivery customers.
a. Train on routing phone calls to the appropriate department.
b. Train on helping our customers with the following but not limited to: questions about their account, our yard price and tanks available for purchase.
c. Train on creating a delivery ticket in our software system. - Train on relationship calls
a. Continuing knowledge about our customer base and updating their contact information in our software system

Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in administrative support, cashier or general bookkeeping.
• Computer literate – able to use programs in Microsoft Office.
Compensation
Ted Johnson Propane pays competitive wages based on a candidate’s background, education, and experience. The starting salary range is $16.90 – $20/hour. Ted Johnson Propane offers company-paid health benefits for the employee and his or her dependents, paid vacation, sick & holidays, company-sponsored training, and employee-managed Profit Sharing/401 (k) plan.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8am – 4:30pm
